Sell after the keepers are equipped
Selling is a select-and-sell exchange at the base. The recorded order:
- Equip the pets you are keeping. Equip Best was the one-tap version.
- Pick the weak hatches, leftover lizards, and old duplicates.
- Open the sell prompt. Captions heard "Self pet," which is likely "Sell pet" or "Select pet," not a confirmed button name.
- Select the batch and sell it in one action.
- Spend the cash. The documented example is two parrots for about $800, put toward a base upgrade.
No refund step appears in those sessions. That does not prove the game never asks you to confirm. Check the selection before you sell.
What players sold
They sold crabs and other low rates, extra lizards, and older pets pushed out by a better hatch. The line they used was to sell the cheap pets and leave the expensive ones so the pen keeps paying. A $14 monkey was dismissed by a player who was waiting on a much higher rate. A glow on a low-tier pet was treated as a reason to keep it, without a mutation name attached to that glow.
There is no species ban in the footage. There is also no per-species sell table. Recheck anything valuable on your own screen.
Pen slots are the reason to sell
The pen holds a limited number of placed pets. Each observed upgrade added one slot. Level 3 to level 4 cost 250,000 in one run. Another upgrade cost 1,000,000. Slot counts per level were not shown.
When it is full you can equip the new pet instead of placing it, sell a cheap one, or buy the slot. Set eggs down before you sail so their timers run while you steal, then open them only if a slot or an equip choice is ready.
Male and female labels matter if you still want to fuse. They are ordinary sexes, not a rare variant. A player who found a female crab treated it as a fusion partner, not as a jackpot. If a pair is worth a fusion gamble, do that before the sell.
